About

PokiiMap is basically PokeVision on Android, an app to help you san for pokemons in a map, because it’s really important to catch’em all!

PokiiMap is a 3rd party PokemonGO client that is not affilicated with Niantic. Please read warnings and use at your own risks

PokiiMap is NOT a PokemonGo bot, it will NOT perform ANY actions AUTOMATICALLY without you pressing some buttons first. You can catch/loot in PokiiMap but YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THEM. If you don’t enable and use catch/loot, PokiiMap is just very full featured pokemon scanner app.

If you just want to use it, get the latest release HERE

Features

PokiiMap is one of the most featured PokemonGO scanner for Android, you should be able to find any feature that other android scanners have in PokiiMap. Here are some highlights:

  • Multiple accounts (Google or PTC accounts)
  • Scan pokemons
  • Pokemons notifications
  • Check pokemon inventories, show IV and other stats of the pokemons in your accounts
  • Live maps
  • Catch/loot (UNSAFE, advanced feature, disabled by default)
  • Sniping (UNSAFE, advanced feature, disabled by default)

How-to

Getting Started

This document will show you how to get up and running with PokiiMap.

Accounts

Before PokiiMap can scan for pokemons, you will need to add some accounts to PokiiMap. There are 2 types of accounts you can add, “Primary Account” and “Scan Account”

You must have at least 1 account to scan

_images/accounts.png _images/addaccount.png
Primary Account

Primary account is optional, you don’t need to add one if you just want to scan for pokemons. If you want to use the PokiiBank feature, or catch/loot , then you will need to add a primary account to use them.

Scan account

Scan account is only used for scanning, each scan can only scan a 70m radius every 10 seconds. You only need to add 1 account to scan, but if you want faster scanning, you may want to add more.

You can configure the search range in PokiiMap’s setting, increasing the step also increases the time it will take to complete a scan. Each step widens the search range by 140m, for example, search range of 2 means a radius of 210m, search range of 3 means a radius of 350m, and so on...

Scanning

After adding the accounts to PokiiMap, you can go back to the map screen, move the map to a location where you want to scan, and press the scan button to start.

Scan time

When you change the search range in setting, you will see the estimated scan time in the setting. The more scan accounts you have, the faster the scan can complete.

If you have 2 accounts, the scan time will be cut in 1/2, 3 accounts will cut scan time in 1/3, and so on... The recommended number of scan accounts is between 5 to 10 to get a good scan speed.

Account safety

PokiiMap has a safe mode feature to ensure maxium safety of your primary account. When you turn on “Safe mode” (ON by default), you primary account will only be used for PokiiBank and nothing else. This is as safe as a 3rd party scanner can be at this time.

Get notifications

You don’t need to keep scanning in PokiiMap to find out if a pokemon that you are interested in is nearby. You can turn on the notification function to let PokiiMap run in the background. It scans your current location every 2 minutes and will send a notification to your phone when it detects a pokemon near you.

Notifications settings

In order to get notifications, you need to select the pokemons you want to be notified about, otherwise you will get a lot of unwanted notifications.

Go to settings, change the notification settings to what you like.

Getting notified

After changing the notification settings, go back to the map screen and turn the notifications by clicking the notification button.

PokiiBank

PokiiBank shows what pokemons you have in your account. It only shows the pokemons in your primary account.

Check IVs

See the IV of the pokemons in your inventories

Mass Transfer

In PokiiBank, you can also select the pokemons you don’t want and release them. This is the same ‘transfer’ function in the game, you transfer the pokemons in exchange for pokemons candies

Live Map

Since version 1.5.0, PokiiMap has feature to show pokemons in a live map. There’s no need to press the scan button because the scanning happens on a server somewhere else (instead of scanning from the phone).

You can either connect the live map to your own server or use one of the provided ones. Obvisouly it’s more work to setup your own server but your own server will be much more accurate because the other live maps only work in major cities. Pro-tips: select only the pokemons you want to see otherwise there will be too much data on the map.

In the live map, you can also enable notification sounds when a new pokemon of interests show up.

Private server

If you know enough to run your own private scanning server, I would expect you can understand how to connect to your own server.

PokiiMap supports both [PokemonGo-Map] and [Pogom] server. PokemonGo-Map server is currently preferred because it allows filtered by a lat/lng bound which is very beneficial when the server has a lot of data.

Use the “Private server” option from the slide out drawer to go to the private live map screen. Press the button at the bottom to enter the address of your server.

Warning: “localhost:5000” or “127.0.0.1:5000” are hardware address so it will not work !

To find your address look at this : http://bit.ly/2aweVR1 (if you have a local server) and http://bit.ly/1dWVBmR (if you want to remote server).

PokiiMap will not have any options to help you set up the private server, you will need to read the PokemonGo-Map or Pogom documentations to find out how to set up the server. Here is a short guide for PokemonGo-Map

Catch/Loot/Sniping

It’s easy to catch/loot in PokiiMap, just tap on a pokemon or a pokestop and then tap the info bubble to catch/loot.

When you catch/loot, it will use your primary account to perform the action. This is considered an UNSAFE action on your primary account.

_images/catch1.png

UNSAFE warning

Depending on how you use it, your account may get flagged for cheating. To catch/loot in PokiiMap, you will need first enable it first in setting.

When you catch and loot, PokiiMap spoofs your location to be next to the Pokemon and Pokestop. This “fake” location is sent to the server and may triggered a soft ban . Spoofing your locations from 1 location to another location is known as teleporting , if you teleport too much and too far, it’s obvious to the server that you are using a tool to change your location.

_images/catch2.png

Sniping

See sniping about what sniping is. In PokiiMap, you can enable “sniping” in setting. Read the warning (and just ignore it ;) ) . Once sniping is enabled (and safe mode is OFF) , you will see extra options from the slide out drawer to give you spawn locations of rare pokemons. Normally if you just go to that pokemon location with GPS spoof, you will immediately get a soft ban . When sniping is turned on, PokiiMap helps you spoof your location so that you don’t get soft ban when you catch the pokemon.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it “safe”?

Yes and NO but it’s a cat and mouse game that is always changing. Any account that you use to log into ANY 3rd party PokemonGO scanner is considered unsafe. What you should do:

  • Create a ‘legit’ account that you play with the game client only, don’t even spoof your location. If you do, don’t teleport too far and too much.
  • Create a ‘bot’ account that you can do whatever you want with, but don’t get too attached to it because it may be subjected to ban any time. If you use the sniping feature in PokiiMap, you can level up this account really quickly and get a full pokedex within 24 hours.
  • Create a bunch of scan accounts, these accounts will probably be banned from time to time by ban wave depending on how often you scan with them. Do NOT add your legit account as a scan account.

What is “teleport”?

In PokemonGO, there are some operations that will report a location to the server. In the PokemonGO game, this locaiton is always your current location. If you spoof your location, this location will be whatever location you spoofed with the GPS tool. “Spoof location” just means sending the server a location that is not from the real GPS but from a fake source.

These “location reporting” optionerations include operations such as scanning and catch/loot

“teleporting” is when you send the server 1 location and then soon after send another faraway location to the server. This happens, for example, when you catch a pokemon at location A and then catch a pokemon at location B, and location A and location B are far apart.

The server keeps track of each of the locations that you send and calculate the distance and time between each of these locations. If it detects that within a short period of time, you “teleported” to a different location that is impossible to travel to in real life transportation, it issues a soft ban to stop you from playing further temporarily.

What is “soft ban”?

In PokemonGO, if you spin a pokestop and get nothing from it, or when you throw a pokeball at a pokemon and it immediately flees, then you have encountered a “soft ban”. Soft bans are issued because server detects unnatural teleport .

Currently, you can get rid of a soft ban if you exit the game and wait for some time, depending on how far you teleported, the time may range from 15 mins to a few hours. The soft ban will also go away if you keep spinning the same pokestop for somewhere between 20 - 40 times.

What is “sniping”?

Sniping means a hack that allows you to catch a faraway pokemon without getting soft ban . The exact method won’t be discussed here but what it basically does is that it will spoof your location so that the server thinks you didn’t teleport

Only time can tell whether “Sniping” is safer than normal teleporting or extremely unsafe.

“Sniping” only works with catch but not with loot. That’s why in PokiiMap, once you loot once and then loot another pokestop at a faraway location, you get soft ban quickly.

It’s not “working”, what should I do?

  • Go to account setting screen, use the refresh button on the top right to check your accounts to make sure they are in good shape.
  • Go to settings and make sure you have the latest update
  • Go to settings and make sure the pokemons you want to see is in the “Pokemon to show” list.

Download

Pokiimap is not working right now, stay tuned for more updates.

PokiiMap is available in “full” and “human” versions.

ANY 3rd party tools have a chance of being detected, use them at your own risk. The ‘human’ version is safer because it does not use the primary account for anything but Pokiibank. Only scan accounts are used for scanning.

What is the difference between FULL and HUMAN version?

HUMAN version does NOT use your primary account for ANYTHING other than display your pokemons in PokiiBank. It’s considered a safe way of using a 3rd party app. FULL version gives you all the “non-human” features the API can provide, looting, catching, etc.

Please read the getting started documentation to understand the differences between scan accounts and primary accounts.
